The Bugline Trail is a 16-mile trail that owes its existence to the quarries near Lannon. Trains once hauled famed Lannon Stone from the deep limestone pits which still operate today. A look down into the quarries from the trail is an impressive sight. Further along, perhaps you’ll be able to spot homes built from the Lannon Stone. Dense woods close to the trail often hide the fact that much of your ride is through suburbs. The Menomonee Park trailhead now features new bike racks, an informational kiosk, and a bicycle tune-up station. This trail will take you from Appleton Ave (S.T.H 175) in Menomonee Falls to the west end of North Lake, in the Town of Merton.
